You can choose the columns, reorder them, filter,\ngroup, total things up, and save the result as your own report.\n\n## Choose the columns\n\nClick **Columns** on the right and tick only what you want to see. Reports\nstart with everything switched on, which is usually more than you need.\n\nDrag a column header sideways to move it. Put the numbers you compare next to\neach other and the report gets much easier to read.\n\n## Filter\n\nEither click **Filters** on the right, or hover a column header, click the menu\nthat appears, and choose the funnel.\n\n![The Total column header menu open, on the filter tab](https://articles.marketspread.com/images/reporting-overview/01-column-menu-funnel.png)\n\nA simple **contains** search covers most of what you need. Filters can be\ncombined for narrower questions.\n\n## Group and total\n\nIn the **Columns** panel, drag a column into **Row Groups** to group by it —\nby vendor, say. Expand any group to see what is inside it.\n\n![The Columns panel, with Row Groups and the values area below it](https://articles.marketspread.com/images/reporting-overview/02-columns-panel.png)\n\nDrag a number column into the values area below to total it. Each group then\nshows its own total.\n\nFilters apply to grouped totals too, so you can total just the rows that match\nsomething — every line tagged \"rental\", for instance.\n\n!!! tip \"Drop the column you grouped by\"\n    Once rows are grouped by vendor, the vendor column repeats what the group\n    heading already says. Untick it.\n\n## Jump to the thing itself\n\nMost reports link to what they list. A row in the submitted documents report\nopens the actual document; a row in submitted products opens the product. It\nsaves hunting for it separately.\n\n## Export\n\nRight-click anywhere in the report and export it as a spreadsheet file, an\nExcel file, or XML.\n\n## Save it as your own report\n\nOnce it looks right, click **Save as copy** and name it.\n\nIt appears in your reports list alongside the ready-made ones, and opens with\nyour columns, filters, grouping and totals already applied. You can change it\nwhenever you like."}
