A wizard walks you through naming\nthe copy, setting its dates, and choosing what to carry over — fees, vendors\nand the application.\n\n## Clone an event or event series\n\n1. In the left-hand navigation, click **Event Configuration**, then **Events**.\n2. Click the event or event series you want to clone.\n3. Click the **Actions** tab.\n4. Under **Clone event**, click **Clone**.\n\n   ![The Actions tab, with Clone under Clone event](https://articles.marketspread.com/images/cloning-an-event-or-event-series/01-clone-event-action.png)\n5. Type a name for the new event. Marketspread suggests one based on the\n   original, so edit it if you want something else.\n6. Click **Next**.\n7. Choose how to set up days for the new event:\n    - **Shift** copies all of the original's days forward by exactly one\n      year. Turn on **Preserve weekday alignment** to keep the same day of\n      the week — a Saturday event stays on a Saturday.\n    - **Start new** lets you pick a **Start Date**, **End Date**, the\n      weekdays it runs on, and a start and end time.\n    - **None** creates no days. Add them yourself after cloning.\n\n   ![The Dates step, set to Shift the existing event days forward a year with Preserve weekday alignment on](https://articles.marketspread.com/images/cloning-an-event-or-event-series/02-clone-wizard-dates.png)\n8. Click **Next**.\n9. Choose what to copy from the original event:\n    - Under **Fee Structure**, choose **Copy fees from source** to bring over\n      every fee exactly as it's set up now, or **Start fresh (no fees)** to\n      set new fees afterwards.\n    - Under **Vendors**, turn on **Automatically rebook vendors** to assign\n      the same vendors to the same booths once the new event is activated.\n      They're approved automatically too.\n    - Under **Application Settings**, choose **Select different application**\n      to use a different template, or **Use same application** to reuse the\n      one from the original event.\n\n   ![Application Settings on the Options step, with the warning for using the same application](https://articles.marketspread.com/images/cloning-an-event-or-event-series/03-clone-wizard-options.png)\n10. Click **Next**.\n11. Review the summary.\n\n    ![The Preview step, reviewing the settings before clicking Clone Event](https://articles.marketspread.com/images/cloning-an-event-or-event-series/04-clone-wizard-preview.png)\n12. Click **Clone Event**.\n\n!!! note\n    If the new dates make for a very different kind of event than the one you\n    started from — for example, turning an event series into a single day —\n    Marketspread warns you that copied fees may not fit, and suggests\n    starting fresh instead.\n\n!!! warning\n    Choosing **Use same application** means returning vendors skip applying\n    again — and aren't charged an application or approval fee. Type\n    **CONFIRM** to continue, or choose **Select different application**\n    instead.\n\n!!! note\n    Cloning doesn't make the new event live. Find it under **Pending Events**\n    on the **Events** page, then follow [Activate your next event](https://articles.marketspread.com/v1/articles/activate-your-next-event)."}
